| The Water Maintenance Division drives a van equipped with remote reading equipment to read the water meter once a month. Therefore, it is not necessary for someone to enter the home to obtain the reading. If the remote equipment is unable to get a reading, we will notify you by placing a red/yellow tag on your door, or contacting you by telephone or mail. If a city maintenance person does need to enter your home, a responsible adult must be present in the home. It is also important to put pets in an area that will not interfere with the service call.
Tampering and Theft of Services The City of Fairborn will prosecute for the offenses of tampering with Water and Sewer equipment (including curb boxes) and for theft of water. See Fairborn Codified Ordinances 913.06 and 913.10. |
