Rules & Regulations

• Schedules will be established and distributed after the organizational meeting on June 11.  Leagues start June 15 and will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays.
• The following simple rules will apply. Others may be verbally created to cover situations that may arise.
• For each match, both sides must bring a new can of balls.  The winning side is entitled to go home with the unopened can of tennis balls. (For split sets, the side winning the most games shall be entitled to the unopened can. If sets have identical scores, flip a coin to see who takes the unopened can.)
• Each match will consist of two sets (regular scoring) and a 12-point tie breaker.  The winner of each set receives one point.
• You are expected to play on the days and times shown on the schedule.  There will be a 15-minute default time. If you cannot make it or if you are rained out, call your opponent and reschedule a make match.  A player’s telephone list will be provided. Make-up matches may be played at any Fairborn court.
• If a player fails to show up for a scheduled match and does not notify his opponent, it will be an automatic default.
• All matches must be completed before August 5, 2009 and recorded.
• If you must use a substitute for a doubles match, inform one member of the opposing team prior to the match.
