FIRE STATION #2
                                  2200 Commerce Center Blvd.

Fairborn Fire Station #2 is located on Commerce Center Boulevard just off of Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd. The station's primary response district is the southeast portion of the City.  The station became fully-operational on January 5th, 2007.

Currently housed at Fire Station #2 is Medic 2, Tanker 2 and Reserve Engine 6.  The station is staffed 24/7 by two personnel.  The primary response vehicle in the station is Medic 2.  The crew will also staff Tanker 2 if needed for fires in non-hydranted areas within the Township and City.

This station is the only one in the City to have a fire training tower.  The tower is useful in that crews can practice high-rise evolutions, rope rescue training and aerial apparatus operations.  Crews can pump almost 1,000 gallons of water into the tower to simulate supplying a sprinker system in a commercial type building.

The station has 5 bedrooms, a large open kitchen area with commercial-grade appliances.  It is also the only station that has a formal training room that is also utilized by the public as a community room.  The building is also equipped with a police sub-station.
