On June 11, 2001, Robert joined City staff as the Utilities Superintendent for the City of Fairborn. In this capacity, he was responsible for the operations of the Water and Sewer Department. He was promoted to Public Adminstrative Services Director on December 24, 2005. In this capacity he oversees the Engineering, Parks & Recreation, Equipment Maintenance, Street & Sanitation, Water & Sewer, and Water Reclamation Divisions.
Robert has over 25 years of experience in Water and Wastewater treatment starting as the Chief Operator of Water and Wastewater Plants in West Milton from 1975 to 1985. In 1985, he assumed the role as the Miami County Superintendent of Water and Wastewater for Miami County. In 1990, he returned to West Milton as the Service Director, Water & Wastewater Superintendent.
Robert is currently licensed as a Class III Wastewater Operator and a Class III Water Operator. He attended Edison State Community College from 1985 to 1989 taking classes in civil engineering. In addition, he took computer science classes at Wright State University and chemical engineering classes at the University of Cincinnati. He is a member of the Ohio Water Environment Association and American Water Works Association and served as a municipal representative for Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission Water Purveyors Group.
