Captain Doctor H. Plemmons graduated from Wayne High School (Huber Heights, OH) in 1977. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Security Policeman. He obtained an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the Community College of Los Angeles, CA, while he was stationed in Japan. In 1984, Captain Plemmons received an honorable discharge and he was hired by the City of Englewood, Ohio, as a Police Officer.
Captain Plemmons received his training from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy. In June of 1985, he was hired by the Fairborn Police Department and assigned to the Patrol Bureau. In June of 1991, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and worked assignments in the Patrol Bureau and Records Section. In October 1998, he was promoted to the rank of Captain. He worked as the Administrative Captain from his promotion date to the end of 1999, he was then assigned the duties of the Patrol Captain from 2000 thru August 2005 when he was assigned to his current position of Detective Captain.
Captain Plemmons is a graduate of the Law Enforcement Foundation's "Police Executive Leadership College" and the Northwestern University Traffic Institute's "School of Police Staff and Command". He is a certified Pursuit Driving Instructor, Evidence Technician and Forensic Sketch Artist.
