Mission
To provide legislative guidance and appropriate legal services for the smooth and proper function of all aspects of local government; and to provide services to crime victims and witnesses through the Fairborn/Beavercreek Victim Assistance Program.
Specific Functions
- Provide legal advice to the City Council, City Manager, and City Officers in matters relating to their official duties.
- Attend all City Council meetings.
- Prepare ordinances, resolutions, and legal documents for the City.
- Represent the City, its officers, and employees in civil lawsuits involving the interests of the City.
- Prosecute criminal actions in the Fairborn Municipal Court.
- Perform such other duties required by the City Manager or law.
Victim Assistance
The Fairborn/Beavercreek Victim Assistance Program provides direct services to all misdemeanor crime victims and witnesses in the Fairborn Municipal Court jurisdiction in Greene County. Victim Advocates provide 24 hour crisis intervention, court escort, information regarding case status, referrals, emotional support, counseling, assistance with victim compensation and criminal justice advocacy.
Victim Assistance is located at the Fairborn Municipal Court, 1148 Kauffman Avenue. Victims can contact the Victim Advocate by calling (937) 754-3047.
Defendants
Defendants can contact the Prosecutor in writing or through the court by a motion. Written correspondence should be mailed to the City Prosecutor at 510 West Main Street, Fairborn, OH 45324.
