We are successful as a department due to the unwavering support of the citizens of Fairborn.
The Fairborn Police Department is fortunate to employ many of the best and brightest police officers in the area, along with state-of-the-art technology in law enforcement equipment and training. These vital assets have been made possible by a supportive and progressive community -- a community that also values and takes pride in its schools, parks and recreation sites, and quality lifestyle.
The Fairborn Police Department prides itself on providing excellent community education programs for citizens of all age groups such as: Safety City, the Youth Police Academy as well as the Advanced Youth Police Academy, the Citizen’s Police Academy, Drug Awareness Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), and a citizen ride-along program. We also offer additional services such as vacation home checks, frequent patrols, internships for future law enforcement students and many other services as needed by our citizens. The Fairborn Police Department also has a citizen’s volunteer program identified as Fairborn Citizens on Patrol.
While we are committed to providing many citizen-based educational programs, the Fairborn Police Department is also dedicated to the prevention of crime on our city streets. We have partnered with such organizations as the A.C.E. Task Force and the Regional Emergency Response Team (R.E.R.T.) to provide the City of Fairborn with additional resources to battle or combat drugs and crime within the City of Fairborn. In conjunction with these endeavors, our officers go through continuous training to ensure that we provide the best possible service to the citizens of Fairborn.
