Fairborn Citizen's Patrol (FCP) was established in 2005. The FCP is made
up of a group of citizen volunteers who have dedicated their time to
assist the Fairborn Police Department and the community in which they
Four weeks of classes are taught at the Fairborn Police
Department in three-hour sessions. Upon successful completion of the
course, members are issued their uniforms and equipment. Members of the
Fairborn Citizen's Patrol are not armed and do not have arrest powers.
Members are requested to spend an average of 16 hours per month doing various duties within the department. Members of the FCP perform many duties which include:
Assisting at special events
Assisting in the Records Bureau
Being available for emergency call-outs when required
Delivering council packets
A Fairborn Citizen's Patrol member must:
Be 21 years of age, unless waived by the Chief
Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License
Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Pass a background check administered by the Fairborn Police Department
