Dayton Drive Widening


The 0.33 mile long project will widen Dayton Drive from 2 lanes to 3, fully reconstruct the road pavement, replace all curb, improve storm drainage, realign Dayton Drive through the Maple intersection, and improve the traffic signals at the Maple intersection.  Construction will take place in 2017.

2017 Street Program


Several streets will be resurfaced in 2017 as part of the annual street program. Streets are chosen for rehab based on several factors including pavement condition, age of pavement, rehab history of the pavement, traffic volume, and recommendations from the City's pavement management system.

2018 Curb, Sidewalk & Approach Program (CSA)


Curb, sidewalk and approaches are being replaced this spring/summer throughout the City on streets selected for the 2018 Street Resurfacing Program.

Dayton-Yellow Springs Road / I-675 Improvements


This project includes additional and/or lengthened turn lanes, improvements to signal timing, improved pedestrian access across the bridge over I-675, and improved striping. Construction is scheduled for 2018.

Central Avenue Resurfacing


Central Avenue will be repaired and resurfaced from Slip Lane to Broad Street in 2018. The project will address deteriorating concrete joints under the asphalt surface and other pavement failure issues.  The project will be designed in-house by the Engineering Division which will save a significant amount of money.

Colonel Glenn / Kauffman Roundabout


The intersection of Colonel Glenn Highway and Kauffman Avenue will be reconstructed in 2019 to provide improved vehicle and pedestrian safety and more efficient traffic flow, and safer pedestrian access.  The improved intersection will utilize a roundabout for traffic control in place of the outdated traffic signal.
